7Purpose of the School Board Members 

Make good decisions with reasonable care.  Board members must put school first in all decisions.   Set up policies and procedures to avoid risks to the school's financial well-being and to the health and safety of its students and staff.


Roles and Responsibilities of the Board  

  • Determine and uphold school's mission and vision
  • Determine and monitor the school's program and services
  • Enhance the school's public image
  • Ensure adequate resources
  • Uphold bylaws set for school
  • Communicate board minutes to school staff & community
